Hey! thanks for asking, some of the designs I create myself, other designs are created by our amazing producer Olga who you can read about on our website. We pay Olga her retail price that she was most comfortable with. We then need to cover shipping costs, taxes, packaging, advertising spends, essential such as employees, website and app expenses, procurement, rent and more. All this in order to get these pieces to clients all over the world straight from Mexico. Our producers work in a family affair from their comfort of their home while still working on their own business in the markets in Mexico. Mother Sierra and most importantly our clients have made it possible for our producers to make a really good living from the sales, increasing their lively hood by more than X15. As we cannot discuss every product and it's cost as that is confidential and it varies, we could say that they are very pleased with having this opportunity.
I’m curious if your company works directly with the Wixáritari women producing individual pieces and how they are compensated for their work. I have only seen mention of one Indigenous designer (Olga) when your company was answering a question about the fair remuneration of Wixáritari women. I am curious to know more about what your supply chain looks like; how much contact do you have with the women who physically do the beading of the pieces you sell, and what is their relationship to the company? Are they formal employees, or contracted under a distinct partner of yours? I seem to keep finding the same paragraph of information posted in various places on your website and social media, and I’m looking for something deeper."

Olga is our main producer, she works directly with her family who have been doing this type of work for decades.
Currently, we aren't working with them directly due to the pandemic, but before Corona we were meeting them regularly and creating designs with Olga and helping her out with whatever she needed.
We pay them exactly what they would be paid in their vendor spot in the market. Full retail price. They state the price and we pay it.
We buy in bulk because we are selling in bulk.
There is nothing unethical in our partnership, we don't employ them by the hour, we don't have a workshop that they are required to attend to or else they won't get paid, laid off, etc.
Olga and her family are having sales in a month that they wouldn't have in 2 years time! Because of you guys! the clients!
We took down some designs just because they weren't comfortable making them anymore, they weren't interested in making them and that's completely fine with us.
We only work by ethical standards and we only want their complete comfort.
We are also looking for new producers from the same nativity as we want to expand and scale Mother Sierra and give opportunities like these to more people that need it in the world.
Our concept was to help local vendors sell their stuff online anywhere in the world.
I'm a photographer, my boyfriend who's my partner specializes in digital marketing so we always want to start a brand.

Will I be charged with customs and taxes?
The prices displayed on our site are tax-free in US Dollars, which means you may be liable to pay for duties and taxes once you receive your order.
Import taxes, duties and related customs fees may be charged once your order arrives at its final destination, and are determined by your local customs office.
Payment of these charges and taxes are your responsibility and will not be covered by us.
We are not responsible for delays caused by the customs department in your country. For further details of charges, please contact your local customs office.
USA pre-orders could take from 1-30 days from the day you order.
International pre-orders could take 3-60 days from the day your order.

If you take another product that is not a pre-order, we will first ship out the in-stock shipment and then with free of charge shipping we will send the pre-order when it arrives!
WHAT IF THE ITEM(S) I RECEIVED ARE DEFECTIVE/INCORRECT/DAMAGED?
Did you receive a faulty unit, or the wrong product? Simply not satisfied with your order? Please contact our Customer Support team to start the return process.
Please include the following information:
• Order number
• Proof of purchase
• Video or photo of the faulty product (if applicable)
• Complete delivery address
• Contact telephone number
In some cases, you may be required to include a video or photo of the defective product for proof in order to refund or replace the product.
HOW LONG IS THE RETURNS PROCESS?
Processing returns may take up to 14 business days from the day we receive your return. We will email you to confirm once your return has been processed.
For returned items, a full refund will be credited for defective products.
For non-defective items, refund excludes all shipping and handling fees.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY REFUND?
All refunds will be credited to your original form of payment.
If you paid by credit or debit card, refunds will be sent to the card-issuing bank within 14 business days of receipt of the returned item or cancellation request. Please contact the card-issuing bank with questions about when the credit will be posted to your account.
It depends on where you are. Orders processed in USA will take 2-5 business days on free standard shipping and up to 2 business days on priority shipping to arrive.
Overseas deliveries can take anywhere from 7-21 business days on standard shipping and 3-5 on priority shipping. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.
What shipping carriers do you use?
Mainly USPS for both domestic and international shipments.
