Romamor
Aleya and her family are the incredible creators of this amazing Huichol artwork.
Romaamor is a palindrome. And that's how this piece was created. It's a play on words, and words have life. They have to be said or expressed. This piece is inspired by the real human heart, and how the blood flows through our veins. We interpret that as one half being Mother Earth, and the other half the Underworld. In the middle, is Rebirth, the color green, a symbol of fertility.
The piece has a wooden base, created with two ancient techniques. Glued with yarn and beads on Campeche wax.
Avoid heat or direct sunlight to protect the materials.
